Hydro is present with precision tubing operations and as a supplier of building systems and extruded aluminium products. The company has about 170 employees in China.
The aluminium precision tubing plant is located near Shanghai in Suzhou. The plant is one of Hydro's latest greenfield sites, having been established in 2005. The plant produces and sells components and systems, such as precision-drawn tubes and multi-port extrusions, to customers mainly in the automotive industry.
Hydro established its first building systems office in Beijing in 2006. Since then, the company has opened building systems offices in Shanghai and in Shenzhen. Hydro develops sales and related services for its Wicona and Technal brands, serving the Chinese building market with a well-equipped logistics platform and training center with high-quality products and systems, including windows, doors and facades.
