Hydro signed an agreement in March 2008 to acquire a 45 percent share in Famco, an aluminium remelt plant under construction in Taiwan. The plant will have an initial annual production of about 75,000 metric tons of extrusion ingot.
E-Tech owns the remaining 55 percent of the Famco plant, which is located in the Yunlin Industrial Estate, along Taiwan’s western coast.
