In Austria, Hydro is present with aluminium extrusion and building systems operations. The company has about 410 employees in the country.
Hydro manufactures and markets most of its extruded products in Austria at the company’s facilities in Nenzing, where two separate plants are located. The largest is the extrusion plant, which was established in 1972. In fact, this was the first extrusion plant built by Hydro on the European continent. Its neighbor, the extruded components plant, was split off from the extrusion plant in 1997.
Hydro’s aluminium building systems operation is located in Seekirchen.
