In Switzerland, Hydro is present as a supplier of extruded aluminium products and has administrative activities in the country. The company has about 75 employees in Switzerland.
Hydro runs an aluminium building systems operation in Maegenwill, but most of its employees in the country are based in Lausanne.
Several of Hydro’s downstream aluminium business sectors are managed from the Lausanne office, which the company opened in 1986. This includes the sector for automotive precision tubing products, aluminium building systems, and extruded products in Europe and Asia.
