In Malaysia, Hydro is present with activities in rolled products
The aluminium foil plant in Pasir Gudang started commercial production in 1985. It was taken over by Hydro, through the acquisition of VAW aluminium AG, in 2002 and thoroughly revamped.
The plant’s product range includes high value-added thin converter foil and fin stock. Not only is the plant one of the largest aluminium foil producers in Malaysia, it is one of the largest in the entire Asia-Pacific region.
