Hydro presents the entire value chain when producing aluminium. From refining bauxite and generating its own electrical power, to producing primary aluminium and manufacturing products such as casthouse products, building systems, extrusions, rolled products, and automotive and transport.
In the U.S., Hydro is present with aluminium extrusion and precision tubing operations. The company is also a supplier of rolled aluminium and other metal products.
Hydro has about 1,400 employees in the U.S.
Outside Europe, Hydro has more employees in the United States than in any other country. Most work in the company’s extrusion network, which includes more than a dozen plants. Hydro also services automotive customers from the U.S. with precision tubing components and systems.
In addition, the company operates several aluminium remelting facilities, including dedicated remelt plants in Kentucky and Texas.
