In Taiwan, Hydro is present with remelting operations for the production of extrusion ingot
Hydro first invested in the company Famco in March 2008, when it acquired a 45 percent share. The remelter is located in the Yunlin Industrial Estate, along Taiwan's west coast. The plant celebrated its first successful cast of extrusion ingot in November 2008. Hydro acquired 100 percent ownership in July 2010.
