Hydro in Tønder, Denmark

Hydro operates three separate plants in Tønder, Denmark. The first that Hydro established there was the extrusion plant, while the largest in Tønder is the aluminium precision tubing plant. This was split from the extrusion plant in 1990. The third site - the automotive structural components plant - was established in 1994.

Hydro's extrusion plant in Lucé, France, was established in 1926 and acquired by Alcan in 1961. Hydro took over the plant in 1986.

Hydro operates two separate plants in Nenzing, Austria. The largest is the extrusion plant, which was established in 1972. This was the first extrusion plant on the European continent built by Hydro. The other is the aluminium components facility.

Hydro Aluminium Extrusion Spain serves extrusion customers throughout the country from two plants, one in La Roca, near Barcelona, and the other in Pinto, near Madrid. The La Roca plant was established in 1963 and taken over by Hydro in 1991, while Hydro acquired the 21-year-old Expral plant in Pinto in 2008.

Hydro in Itu, Brazil

Hydro has two aluminium operations on the same site in Itu, Brazil, which is near São Paulo. The extrusion plant was established in 1978 and taken over by Hydro in 1997. The automotive precision tubing plant delivers aluminium tubing components and systems to customers in the automotive industry.
