Trainees: Meet some of us

A new international group of trainees with a world of energy and expectations is in place in Hydro. You can meet them here.

(September 30, 2009) Hydro’s Trainee Program brings a new group of young graduates into the company, where they will gather a wealth of knowledge and experience, build networks, and maybe even make a few new friends.

Regional assignments

The 15-month program takes them through two or three rotations, usually to different regions, each lasting two to four months. Most assignments are in Norway, Germany or Australia.

International group

The international trainees, draw from a pool of recent graduates with a master’s degree or equivalent and a maximum of two years of work experience, also get to attend three common seminars during the program.

In-depth seminars

One, called Hydro Fundamentals, is an in-depth look at Hydro’s operations and ways of doing business – the current group recently attended such a session in Oslo with President and CEO Svein Richard Brandtzæg.
