Hydro operates 21 hydroelectric facilities, accounting for about 8 percent of Norway’s combined total power generation and supplying the company’s own industrial activities in Norway.

Hydro’s 21 power stations help secure power supplies to our industrial activity in Norway. Among them are some of the biggest power stations in the country. We are now working to secure the availablity of power and develop our metal operations in Norway.

Hydro has rights to considerable power resources in Norway. The aim of the company is to secure an optimal utilization of these resources; this means safe and sound operation, good maintenance and continuous measures to increase efficiency.
