Liv Monica Bargem Stubholt (1961), Oslo, is senior vice president of Strategy & Communications in Kværner ASA.

From 2007 to 2009 she was state secretary in the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, and from 2005 to 2007 state secretary of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A lawyer by profession, she graduated from the University of Oslo, and she was a partner in the Norwegian law firm BA-HR from 2000 to 2005. She also practiced as a lawyer in the same firm from 1990 to 1995. From 1997 to 2000 she was advisor and project manager in Norsk Investorforum and from 1995 to 1997 parliamentary group secretary for Senterpartiet, the Norwegian Centre Party.

She has been chairman of the board in Aker Clean Carbon AS and acting CEO of Aker Seafoods, Norway. She is a board member of the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce. She has previously been deputy chair of the EEA Review Committee in Norway (see NOU 2012:2). From 2002 to 2005 she was a board member of the state-owned Norwegian national main grid company Statnett.
