Hydro employee killed in Milano air crash

(Oct. 9, 2001) Hydro Agri lost one of its employees in the SAS crash at the Linate airport in Milano yesterday.

Peppino Salati (57), a long time member of the commercial organization of Hydro Agri Italia, was currently Director Fertilizer Sourcing, working out of Hydro Agri's Brussels office.

On the morning of the crash, he was on his way to Oslo to have meetings with colleagues and external business relations.

"This terrible accident has left us shocked and very sad, and our thoughts are at present with his family in Italy," says Harald Aasheim, Director of Human Resources in Hydro Agri.
