Largest exhibitor at 'Aluminium 2002'
(Sep. 5, 2002) Hydro Aluminium will have the largest exhibition at the "Aluminium 2002" world trade fair in Essen, Germany, September 18-20 - for the first time with the former VAW aluminium AG fully integrated.
Hydro Aluminium’s activities are now divided into Primary Metal, Metal Products, Rolled Products, Extrusion, Automotive and North America – with four of these presenting their state-of-the-art competence in Essen.
At a press reception at Hydro Aluminum's stand at 1 p.m. September 18, Hydro Aluminium CEO Jon-Harald Nilsen will comment on the successful integration VAW process and give an outlook of the future plans of Hydro Aluminium. The "new" Hydro Aluminium currently generates revenues of EURO 10 billion with a workforce of more than 30,000 employees.
The most recent remarkable innovation towards the customer will be presented at the fair: Metal Products' new e-Portal, adding even more comfort to the individual customer's relations with Hydro Aluminium.
Materials research and development will be strengthened to foster the use of aluminium in new fields of application. Hydro Aluminium R&D experts will describe the diverse perspectives of aluminium technology, with presentations to be held September 18 and 19.
Hydro Aluminium, with a stand of almost 400 square metres, will be located in Hall 3, A 20 – directly behind the entrance to the fair.
