Building cooperation in Argentina

(June 25, 2004) More than 100,000 people recently attended Batimat Expovivienda 2004 - the most important building industry event in Argentina. Many of them visited the stand hosted by Hydro Aluminio Aldural, which is constructing a reputation as a solid partner to domestic builders.

FRESH: Hydro Aluminio Aldural won raves from visitors for its striking stand design as well as for its fresh product concepts.

Participation at the Batimat fair, which is the largest and most notable building, construction and housing exhibition in Argentina, is part of Aldural's plan to become the country's leading supplier of extruded aluminium building systems. And among the more than 350 exhibitors present at the Buenos Aires Rural, Hydro was one of the most highly visible of the group.

Hydro's attractive stand design was one of the drawing cards. Sails formed a great, three-dimensional curved roof mounted on four columns highlighting the Hydro logo.

Professionals in the industry, however, were attracted by the outstanding products presented by Aldural. The product range included Linea Rotonda ECOTHERMIC, which is the first system of openings jambs with thermal break. The system, designed by Hydro Building Systems, is produced in Argentina.

Foresight, social responsibility

In the area known as "space concepts," Aldural revealed its prototype of the System AluQuick 40, which was created for use in structures integrated with machinery. It supports the movements of systems in general and protects the defined workspace - an appropriate answer to the modern demands of industrial safety.

Hydro also introduced at Batimat 2004 the company's new catalogue of Products 2004 as well as the Aluminium Extrusion Profiles Design Book - both in CD format.

Finally, to fulfill the mission of social solidarity, Hydro donated windows for the construction of a house for children without a home, known as the Hallelujah House.

Hydro Aluminium is a leading global supplier of extruded aluminium building systems, with its three major brands: Domal, Technal and Wicona.
