Prominent Hydro presence at international auto show

HYDRO STAND: Hydro has a prominent exhibition stand at this year's motor show in Frankfurt, Germany.

(Sep. 12, 2005) Hydro is presenting itself as a leading automotive supplier - and Europe's No. 1 aluminium company - at the 61st IAA International Motorshow in Frankfurt, open to the public from 15 to 25 September.

IDEAL: "Aluminium is an ideal material for the car industry," says Dieter Braun, head of the Automotive sector in Hydro.

In an editorial in Hydro's aluminium customer magazine AluGlobe, the president of Hydro's Automotive sector, Dieter Braun, emphasizes that "the automotive industry is about more than getting from A to B."

"Increasing demands for lighter, safer – even more recyclable – vehicles mean that we must think smarter. Aluminium is an ideal material to meet many of these challenges, and Hydro has some ideal solutions. We have become one of the leading suppliers of lightweight components to the automotive and transport industry in Europe and North America," Braun points out.
