Price increase for aluminium strip deliveries in 2007
(Sep. 1, 2006) Hydro is instituting a EUR 50 per tonne conversion price increase on aluminium strip for plain and converted rolled products delivered to the automotive, building, heat exchanger as well as general engineering industry.
The increase will be effective for deliveries from 1 January 2007 that are not covered by contractual agreements, and valid for distributors and end customers.
The price increase is related to the further increasing energy, lacquer material and other costs in Europe, which represents Rolled Products’ key market for its aluminium strip products.
With its Strip business unit, Rolled Products holds leading positions in the European automotive, building, heat exchanger and general engineering industry, including the distributor market.
