New Ormen Lange contract to FMC Kongsberg Subsea

(June 26, 2007) Hydro has awarded an NOK 1 billion contract to FMC Kongsberg Subsea AS for the supply of subsea systems for the Ormen Lange Southern Field Development.

Hydro has awarded the contract on behalf of the Ormen Lange licensees for the engineering, procurement and construction of six subsea trees, an eight-slot manifold with protection structures, related control systems and four pipeline end modules with connection equipment.

Delivery will commence in the first quarter of 2009.

Hydro is the operator for the Ormen Lange project during the development phase. FMC is familiar with the challenging conditions on the Ormen Lange field through former deliveries of subsea systems for the project.

The Ormen Lange Southern Field Development consists of one template, flow lines, umbilical and MEG line tied back to the existing Template A location.
