(Feb. 22, 2007) More than 170 customer companies spent two days in Seville to take advantage of Technal's annual Aluminier convention and learn more about the latest building regulations in Spain - and to improve their handling of major building projects.
Technal, a Hydro brand and one of the leaders in aluminium-based building systems, has been inviting Aluminier customer companies in Spain to participate in the annual convention since 2000, when the first meeting was held. Technal's objective is to help customers improve their understanding of the market and its available opportunities, as well as to increase customer service.
This year's convention brought together more than 550 participants. The group represented about 80 percent of the companies that form Technal's Aluminier network in Spain.
STRIKING: Bareclona's Hotel AC has been built using Technal curtain wall with traditional grid, hinged and sliding windows. The result is striking. |

Learning seminars were conducted in several areas of interest, including:
- Spain's new thermal regulations – saving energy
- Improved selling to end-users
- Handling major projects
"Feedback on the seminars was very good. The customers said they were valuable topics," says marketing manager Angel Ripoll of Hydro Building Systems.
"The convention is also important as a meeting place for the companies, because many of them work in different market segments. They have the chance to learn and share with each other."
Technal concluded the program by presenting an architectural prize for the winners in three categories: residential, non-residential, and commercial applications.
