The Hydro stand proved extremely popular with attendees, with the many samples on display illustrating the range of services that Hydro can offer as a premier provider of aluminium extrusions, fabrication and finishing.

Hydro’s sales team and key in-house technical personnel were on hand to meet with visitors.

Many used the face-to-face opportunity to investigate particular manufacturing challenges, with some bringing technical drawings for further examination.

“Our aim at an exhibition is to impart knowledge about aluminium and the benefits of aluminium profiles,” said Neil James, Sales Director for Hydro Aluminium Extrusion UK.

Aluminium trucks offer distinct advantages as they are:
Durable:  Aluminium is corrosion-resistant and as a result more durable and longer lasting than other traditional materials.

Efficient:  Aluminum is highly crash absorbent and can be designed to deflect crash energies away from vehicle occupants. Designed to fold predictably during a crash, aluminum allows a vehicle to absorb much of the crash energy.

Green:  Aluminium has a low overall carbon footprint and is infinitely recyclable. Aluminium is best when examining the full lifecycle including exhaust pipe emissions.

Neil adds, “The high strength, low weight of aluminium provides commercial vehicles that are economical, durable and high performing.

The lower weight of aluminium compared to other materials, produces fewer emissions and uses less fuel or battery power to operate, helping commercial vehicle manufacturers meet emission regulations and saving owners money at the pump.”
