Hydro Aluminium Extrusion has invested millions of pounds over the past few years, evolving the Bedwas and Birltey Plant into one of the most advanced extrusion operations in the UK and Europe. The latest investment has been the modernization and automation of the internal material handling process throughout the plant.
There is now nearly complete automation in the way in which the two plants handles aluminium from the start of the process to its conclusion - which is when it is ready to be loaded onto lorries and delivered to customers.
Our investment programme is aimed at ensuring the plant can serve customers in more advanced and higher quality ways. We recognise that only by carrying out continued investments, can we hope to support our customers in their increasingly competitive markets.
