The facility for product design is nowadays a prerequisite in the extrusion industry, and recognising this, Hydro offer technical assistance in helping to develop an initial concept through to the final product.

Aluminium extrusion allows for a huge freedom of design which allows functionality to be designed in (e.g. costly manufacturing processes such as notching and piercing can be eliminated through a well designed extrusion.)

Our in-house design team have extensive knowledge and experience when providing solutions in aluminium, their qualifications include; BSc (Hons) Class 1 in Engineering, Chartered Engineers and Members of the Institution of Mechanical Engineering, Full Technological certificate in Mechanical Engineering, TS Production Engineering, TS Jig and Tool Design, A.S.E.E Diploma -Association of Supervisory and Executive Engineers, ONC in Production/ Mechanical Engineering, HNC in Production/ Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Management services (I.M.S) Diploma.
