Hydro operates extrusion and precision tubing plants in Tønder.
The extrusion plant, which began operations in 1975, has two presses and serves general extrusion customers. The precision tubing plant - the larger of the two in terms of employees - has three extrusion presses and manufactures tubes and multi-port extrusions (MPEs) for heat transfer applications.

With car from Billund Airport
Follow route 425 via Hegnsvig and Holsted until it ends in Kalvslund in route 32. Follow route 32 in the direction of Ribe. Follow route 11 from Ribe via Skærbæk to Tønder. Take the first way out of the roundabout a few kilometers south of Abild. Turn right into Hydrovej and then take the second road on your left - Bygmestervej.
With car from Hamburg
Follow E45 (A7) to exit 75 after the the Danish/German boarder. Follow route 8 towards Tønder. Take the first way out of the roundabout after Rørkær (route 11). In the next roundabout by McDonald’s take the third way out towards Tønder. Turn right by the first traffic lights. Take the second road on you left into Hydrovej - and then take the second road on your left - Bygmestervej.
