HYBRAZ™/® PF is an aluminium product coated with a layer of flux in an organic binder. It eliminates the need for a separate fluxing operation on a braze line, but must be used in combination with a braze alloy cladding, either as a substrate to the HYBRAZ™/® PF coating or on one of the material surfaces adjoining the HYBRAZ™/® PF coated surface.

HYBRAZ™/® PB is a flux coated aluminium product, normally an extrusion, whereby the coating compromises a reactive flux carried in an organic binder. This coating provides both the filler material and the flux during brazing, eliminating the need for clad materials or a separate fluxing operation after assembly.

The braze cycles and technologies known from the current conventional CAB (Controlled Atmosphere Brazing) brazing process is fundamentally the same, when using HYBRAZ™/® coated products. Therefore no major investments are needed when implementing the use of HYBRAZ™/® coated products.

Furthermore the use of HYBRAZ™/® coated products results in:
• High degree of process control
• High quality brazed products.

Environment
The use of HYBRAZ™/® PF or PB coated products reduces the usage of flux, representing:
• No airborne flux particles in the plant
• Elimination of wet fluxing operations and
the effluents and hazardous materials it generates
• Reduced gaseous emissions

Our Application & Development department is always available for further information. We offer substantial capabilities and expertise in the areas of process and product design, materials, prototyping, evaluation and testing. Based on many years of experience, Hydro Aluminium Precision Tubing is in the position to be a competent, co-operative partner starting at the product development stage. This often results in reduced development costs and a competitive end product with higher quality.
