What alloys should I use?
Hydro Aluminium Precision Tubing: Alloy selection is a crucial element of the design process. The first step is always to clarify the conditions under which the end product will operate. On this basis, one should be in the position to choose which alloys to use. Hydro has extensive knowledge in design against corrosion, and is able to support its customers in this part of the process.

What about mechanical and physical properties?
Hydro Aluminium Precision Tubing: In general, aluminium is softer than copper, meaning that tubes, for example, must have larger wall thicknesses in order to withstand a certain burst pressure. Hydro is aware of these differences, and our product range covers the needs of all typical HVACR applications. We supply a wide variety of alloys with very different mechanical and physical properties. Further, each alloy may be delivered in different conditions, which again broadens the range of available materials. Contact Hydro to get the best advice on alloy and temper selection for your specific HVACR product.
