Hydro has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing automotive heat exchanger tubing, and the company is using this competence in HVACR, where the transfer from copper tube/aluminium fin heat exchangers to all-aluminium heat exchangers is underway. The one-piece welded tube manifolds, incorporating a braze clad layer, offer excellent joint formation in a controlled atmosphere brazing (CAB) process.
To meet the needs of the HVACR market, Hydro has developed a standard range of alloys and components to suit a vast array of applications. In addition to these standard products, Hydro offers a rapid prototyping service for customers that need something outside the standard range.
Hydro has developed high-strength alloys that can be used for manifolds where pressures above 160 bar are required.
Hydro manufactures one-piece welded tube manifolds in Workington, UK, and Hannover, Germany. Both facilities offer top-level service and product ans process quality according to ISO/TS 16949 standard.
