SMEThermal 2012

SMEThermal 2012 takes place on February 7. The event is focused on new materials and production technologies for solar thermal systems. Hydro, one of the sponsors of the

exhibition, is inviting potential and current business partners to visit its stand in Berlin.

Apart from conventional aluminium product solutions, with plain tubes welded to a coated sheet, Hydro will also exhibit grooved tubes and extruded profiles. These products make possible new absorber designs, which can increase the performance of solar collectors.

In addition, Hydro will feature at its stand the all-aluminium multiport extrusion (MPE) absorber. Developed in cooperation with the Finnish collector manufacturer Savo Solar, this solution won the Innovation Award at Intersolar 2011 in Munich.

Patrick Jansson of Hydro will be one of the keynote speakers at SMEThermal 2012. He will speak about aluminium extrusions and new absorber designs, including the MPE solution.
