The all-aluminium absorbers will be shown together with insulated aluminium connection lines and aluminium fittings and connections, which have been developed by partner companies.

| WELCOME: Hydro welcomes customers, partners and solar thermal system suppliers to its stand B1.151 at Intersolar Europe. |
Apart from significant cost and weight reduction, the aluminium tubing solutions offer advantages that include:
- Production process improvements
- Material stress reduction
- Ease of recycling.
Intersolar Europe takes place from June 13-15 in Munich, Germany.
Flexibility in production, design
 |
| AWARD: Together with Savo Solar, Hydro was awarded the Intersolar award 2011 for the MPE absorber. |
The absorbers demonstrate the flexibility of production possibilities, with regard to absorber design and welding technologies, when using aluminium as both tubing and sheet material.
Next to a laser-welded harp absorber and an ultrasonically welded meander absorber, Hydro will also exhibit its innovative MPE absorber at Intersolar.
Last year, in recognition of the development of the all-aluminium MPE absorber, which offers a completely new and high-performance absorber design, Hydro and Savo Solar were awarded the Intersolar Award 2011.
Best in test – guaranteed
Not least, Hydro will present an aluminium tube absorber that has gone through the toughest high-temperature corrosion tests ever performed for any tubes in a solar thermal application.
The tests, conducted at SPF in Switzerland, simulated 20 years of life – and demonstrate the corrosion resistance of the HyLife™ Solar alloy, which Hydro developed specifically for solar thermal applications.
Convinced by the excellent test results, Hydro is the only tubing supplier to the solar thermal market that guarantees a lifetime of 10 years against corrosion.
