Designed to serve the needs of everyone from the active, adrenaline-fueled outdoor enthusiast to those needing a lightweight trailer for family camping, GO easily morphs from a low-profile high-capacity trailer, to a rugged hefty-toy-hauler, to a comfortable camper that can be pulled behind almost any vehicle.
This super spacious camper, with its Hyper-Engineered aluminum frame, weighs only 700 lbs. and can haul up to 800 lbs. of gear.
Partnering
The GO is truly a collaborative effort.
Together, Hydro and SylvanSport engineers worked from early in the concept phase through to final design and delivery, fine-tuning plans and manufacturing processes, to come up with this versatile and light-weight vehicle/camper/trailer.
Aluminum frame
The SylvanSport GO was designed, from the frame out, to be a one-of-a-kind mobile adventure trailer that's more versatile than a Swiss Army knife.
The trailer’s aluminum components are extruded at Hydro’s North Liberty, IN and Belton, SC plants while fabrication, which includes sawing, machining, bending, welding, adhesive bonding and complete assembly, occur at the plant in Sidney, OH.
“Raw extrusions come in and we utilize our fabrication processes to construct the frame of the trailer, finishing it off with roughly 100 items – from wheels to wiring harnesses -- supplied by SylvanSport,” says Matt Landis Commercial Engineering Manager for Hydro Aluminum. “When the trailer leaves Sidney, it ships directly to the retailer.”

SylvanSport GO has received various accolades for its design.
The GO was named a 2008 International Design Excellence Award (IDEA) Gold winner in the annual competition co-sponsored by Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) and BusinessWeek.
The ET Foundation’s International Aluminum Extrusion Design competition was most impressed, bestowing upon SylvanSport their Grand Prize award for design.
