May 23, 2008

Last week, the film “Train” took a Silver Award in the American advertising industry’s Clio Awards.

The Clio Awards is the world’s most recognized awards competition for advertising, design and interactive.

For nearly five decades, the Clio Awards has maintained its original commitment to celebrate and reward creative excellence, honoring a powerful form of communication and its impact on modern culture.

At the same time, the Clio Awards remains focused on evolving with the industry in order to acknowledge the most current, breakthrough work. To this day, Clio’s iconic statute is the most widely recognized and coveted symbol of the industry’s creative accomplishments.

The video, which ran on Norwegian network TV and several web sites last year, was produced for Hydro by the DDB Oslo advertising agency.

The film also won a “yellow pencil” award in the “viral” category – for electronically distributed advertising – from the U.K.-based educational charity D&AD. The competition attracted 25,000 entries, of which 63 received awards.
