Bennett among notable speakers at upcoming solar summit

Allan Bennett, vice president of Solar Market Development for Extrusion North America, will present a lecture on the use of extruded aluminum for concentrated solar power, CSP, arrays during the Concentrated Solar Power Summit USA, June 23-25 at San Francisco’s Parc 55 hotel.

June 18, 2010

Frames make up a significant portion of the cost of a CSP collection assembly, and therefore need to be designed and built in the most cost-effective, structurally sound way possible.

Bennett’s program will look at the benefits of aluminum as a material of construction, and specifically why extruded aluminum best meets the demands of solar engineers. He will cover:

  • Designing and engineering
  • Recyclability and recycled content
  • Carbon footprint
  • Transportation and installation
  • Total lifecycle and cost to own
  • Cradle-to-grave accountability

Bennett will also be a panelist for a discussion forum at this event. Hydro will also be exhibiting at the show expo.
