Alloys
The choice of alloy is dependent on the customers’ demands concerning dimensions, mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, etc.
The table gives the designation and composition for the standard alloys used by Hydro Aluminium Precision Tubing according to the common European standard EN 573-3 and for the application for which they are typically used, i.e. Precision Drawn Tubes (PDT), Multi Port Extrusions (MPE), Extruded Tubes (ET), FOBS™/® forging material (FOBS), and Power Transfer/ Wire (PT).
The table give the internal designations and chemical compositions for special alloys which are not covered by the EN 573-3 or other common norms/standards.
