For the EU to approve the proposed joint venture the partners will be required to sell parts of their extrusion businesses in the Nordic Countries and the Netherlands. For Hydro this may concern Hydro Aluminium Profiler a.s. in Raufoss and Hydro Aluminium Profiler AB in Vetlanda. Sapa’s Dutch unit in Harderwijk is also a candidate for sale. The sales of these companies will arise after the EU decision concerning the joint venture which is expected soon.

It is important to emphasise that no decision has as yet been reached in which case it is “business as usual”.
