Hydro Aluminium Profiler’s subsidiary in Finland, Hydro Aluminium Salko OY in Forsa, recently celebrated its 10th anniversary which was attended by employees, their families, customers and executives from HAP and Hydro´s business division Extrusion Eurasia.

 Hydro Aluminium Profiler’s subsidiary in Finland, Hydro Aluminium Salko OY in Forssa, celebrated its 10th anniversary on 18 May. The company, with a staff of 50, are specialists in the machining, lacquering and assembly of aluminium extrusions. Salko mainly works for HAP’s customers in the Finnish market.

A large number of customers and employees celebrated Salko’s 10th anniversary on 18 May with a variety of activities and a sumptuous lunch buffet.

These include several major companies in the construction industry such as Finland’s largest window manufacturer Fenestra with whom a customised and integrated assembly line has been constructed. This includes several production steps including machining, surface treatment and final assembly of the window components. To celebrate the event a reception was held for the employees, their families and a number of guests with speeches, various activities and a lunch buffet. Some 50 customers attended and many emphasised the importance of the cooperation with Hydro as a stable and resourceful company with a global range and local presence.

Hydro Aluminium Salko OY’s plant manager  Jouni Niinikoski held the anniversary speech to the staff and emphasised the importance of shared responsibility and personal commitment as key factors in Salko’s success.

The Hydro factory is a modern production unit with advanced equipment for cutting, machining, powder lacquering and assembly. Including storage and logistics facilities, the factory covers about 7,000 sq. m. Since opening in 2001 the company has enjoyed significant development and is one of the leaders in its business in Finland today.

Salko’s 10th anniversary was also marked by a visit by executives from the Hydro Group’s business division Extrusion Eurasia and Hydro Aluminium Profiler.
