AluHak designs and makes two types of scaffolding systems, Class 5 for heavy duty applications and Class 3 façade scaffolding for the construction industry. A unique design allows the two systems to be combined and connected together.

After 25 years in the industry, AluHak is one of the most experienced players in the scaffolding business. As something of a pioneer, the company soon developed its own approved aluminium scaffolding system for the heavy duty offshore market parallel to a more conventional steel design. A spider is at the centre of the company’s logotype.
“A skilled builder with one of Nature’s strongest and most creative ‘scaffolding systems’ with whom we are glad to identify ourselves,” explains AluHak’s managing director Magne Karlson.
Unique combination
The development work focuses on HES aspects – Health, Environment and Safety –from the start and the result is a system optimally designed for those who both erect and use it. After many highly successful years with a Class 5 system for heavy duty applications, the company has now developed Class 3 façade scaffolding for the construction industry. On top of this a unique system has been developed that allows a combination and connections between the two systems. This makes possible an optimal mix of the heavier and lighter systems according to the requirements of each construction job cutting costs as a result!
“Our new lightweight system widens the type of applications and with it the potential both in Norway and abroad,” says Magne Karlson.

Complete cooperation
A natural base for expanding into export markets exists in the company’s production subsidiary that was started a few years ago in Poland. The AluHak Group also includes several other subsidiaries that specialise in development, sales and hiring. In total the Group, with a staff of 35, has a turnover of NOK 100 million. Apart from deliveries of components, the collaboration with Hydro covers logistics, stock levels and technical service. On the development side, Hydro support also covers design, tolerance and statistical calculations and documentation.
“Long-term stability, technical expertise in aluminium together with flexibility and rapid communication are among the attributes we appreciate the most,” says Magne Karlson.
Important factors for success
The scaffolding systems consist of a large number of extrusions for components such as standards, struts, notch boards, scaffold boards, couplers, cornices and fittings. Decisive factors in AluHak’s success are availability and delivery capacity as the company has good stocks of most of its product range.
A system specially designed to facilitate the erection of scaffolding, high quality and continual development and customisation are other important factors in AluHak’s success. AluHak is now making determined efforts to ensure customers in both the domestic and export markets reach new heights safely!
