About anodising

We are able to give the aluminium profiles some at the same time both protective and ornamental features

Anodising is an electrochemical process which artificially increases the thickness of the natural, transparent oxide layer, which is an integrated part of the aluminium surface. In this process the aluminium profile is placed in an electrolyte bath. The aluminium acts as the anode in the circuit.

Whereas the natural oxide layer is only 0.2 micron thick, the thickness of the layer after anodising is usually from 5 till 25 micron depending on the usage.

We can guide you in the choice of layer thickness for your purpose.

Contrary to the result from powder coating the metallic appearance of the aluminium is preserved.
