Aleksander comes from a family with a lot of Hydro employee members. He worked at Hydro’s Årdal plant every summer, then as a Research Fellow in Stade, and even took a student trip to the Petrobras plant in Brazil during his education.

“I was always given a lot of responsibility and worked with great bosses who challenged me to use my creativity. I think my interest in technology, together with the experiences my family had working for this worldwide company, pretty much sealed my destiny.”
No limits
Aleksander believes there is almost no limit to what he can accomplish at Hydro. “We’re doing some of the most advanced work in the field of primary aluminium production.” He’s impressed that regardless of what’s happening in global markets, Hydro continues to forge ahead with leading-edge research.
“We’re making great strides in carbon anode production, and reducing CO2 emissions to the lowest level possible. Because of the continual challenge, and many inspiring colleagues, I can honestly say that I look forward to going to work every morning.”
