Global partnerships

Hydro works through many different channels in order to promote sustainable development.

We can accomplish more when we stand together, which is why we seek to cooperate with others who want to promote sustainable development. We participate through trade organizations, through direct involvement with international organizations, and through projects.

Our most important trade organizations are:

European Aluminium Association (EAA)
International Aluminium Institute (IAI) 
 

Even though these are not classified as partnerships, our listing on several sustainability indexes are important to us. Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), FTSE4Good and Storebrand Best in Class are among the most important. We have been listed on DJSI since the start in 1999 and was in 2007 named super-sector leader for the second year in a row, of the Aluminium and Basic Resources sectors.
