The accident happened when a fork-lift truck collided with a crane, and the driver was fatally injured. The person who died was 50 years old, and had been working with Alunorf for more than 12 years. He had a wife and an adult son.
Internal and external investigations of the accident have been initiated.
Alunorf is a 50/50 joint venture of Hydro and the aluminium company Novelis.
