Basic facts

Hydro’s 17 power stations help secure power supplies to our industrial activity in Norway. Among them are some of the biggest power stations in the country. We are now working to secure the availability of power and develop our metal operations in Norway.

Technology

Hydroelectric power is a perpetual, renewable and CO2-free resource. Our challenge is to utilize the resources at our disposal in the most efficient way possible.

Power plants

Hydro has rights to considerable power resources in Norway. The aim of the company is to secure an optimal utilization of these resources; this means safe and sound operation, good maintenance and continuous measures to increase efficiency.
