Glass Skin

Architectural system for façades composed of vertical load-bearing elements anchored to the building structure and enclosure plans mounted on the supports in vertical sequences without the need for structural crossbeams. The system allows multiple variants in the realization of facade closures - flat, broken planes entering or leaving at different angles, faceted planes -, without limits of widths and heights to cover them, provided that they structurally verify the spans between supports. In addition, it allows different variants of glazing, monolithic or thermopanel, aluminium composite panels, etc. with structural fixing or with the glass contained by gaskets.
The system was tested at the National University of San Juan, proving to be suitable for application in seismic areas.
 

Typologies:

The system admits fixed and projecting cloths, without differentiating them from the outside.
Different types of cosmetics can be placed in order to differentiate the external aspect.
