Orkla and Hydro agreed in October 2012 to combine their respective activities in the fields of profiles, construction systems and pipes to form a joint venture, which will be owned 50 percent each by the two companies.
After the last approval by the Chinese anti-trust authorities on August 19, the transaction was carried out on September 1.
