We have several local suppliers that are essential to our continued growth. Before working with us, all suppliers are subject to an internal qualification process.

In Brazil, we have a centralized purchasing process for our operations that serves several business areas. Although specific qualification requirements may vary according to the degree of risk of the supply, Hydro's purchasing policy is common to all business areas.

These policies require that Hydro's suppliers meet certain quality, health, safety and environment (HSE), financial stability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) standards, taking human and anti-corruption rates into account.

To ensure vendor commitment, documentation for qualification must include Quality, HSE, and CSR requirements. Hydro expects all of its business partners to comply with the principles set forth in the Supplier's Code of Conduct.

Does your company have a written policy stating that no forced, slave, child or compulsory labor will be used?
Does your business have records that demonstrate compliance with applicable laws regarding work hours, overtime, days off and holidays?
Does your company have records documenting that all of your employees are paid according to applicable legal requirements?

Health, Safety and Environment - HSE

Does your company have a certified or implemented HSE management system?
Does your company monitor the legal HSE requirements applicable to your work routine?
Does your company have operational procedures in place to control significant risks and / or environmental aspects?


Does your company have any certified or implemented quality management systems?
Does your company have objectives, goals and indicators for the quality management system?
Does your company use any tool or program for continuous improvement?

Governance and Compliance

Are your company procedures and processes routinely verified, controlled and / or audited?
Does your company comply with tax and social security obligations, being regular at the municipal, state and federal levels?
Are there any personal or professional relationships between your company's employees and any Hydro employees?
