Under normal conditions, Hydro Paragominas operates with two ball mills. With one of them out of operation for maintenance, production in Paragominas is running at 50% of capacity.

Considering this maintenance, Hydro Alunorte was operating with sufficient stock to cover the planned maintenance period. The current inventory levels at Hydro Alunorte and supply from Mineração Rio do Norte (MRN) should be sufficient to cover bauxite needs during the extended maintenance period, ensuring that the refinery's production remains unchanged.

The nominal production capacity at Hydro Paragominas is 9.9 million tons. The nominal capacity of Alunorte, the largest alumina refinery in the world, is 6.3 million tons. Both operations are located in the State of Pará, Brazil.
