At Alunorte, those selected will enter the areas of Refinery Process Operation, with 28 vacancies for a single class, and Industrial Mechanical Maintenance (Basic), with two classes of 29 vacancies each. Albras will open vacancies for Metallurgical Processes Operator, Basic Mechanical Maintenance and Basic Electrical Maintenance, with 15 vacancies for each course, totaling 45.

Hydro's Young Apprentice Program has been in existence since 2011 and aims to qualify the workforce of municipalities closest to the company's industrial plants. The initiative also provides the local community with income and access to multinational companies, recognized in the market for their excellent work environment and the possibility of building solid careers. In 2017, Jovem Aprendiz qualified 187 people at Hydro's three plants (Alunorte, Albras and Paragominas Mineração).
