Children and teenagers from the “Trilhando Caminhos” program performed last June 29, at Cabana Clube, in Barcarena. The event brought together 424 participants, aged between 6 and 17 years old and featured ballet, theater and capoeira performances from the program's centers: Renascer com Cristo, Vila do Conde, São Francisco, Caripi and Cabana Clube, formed by communities from Barcarena.

Performing to the audience that attended the club with the show “Saltimbancos” was a dream come true for Rayane Gabrielly Souza, 9, of the ballet class. "I was very nervous, but I gave it to God to help me," she says. To reach the big moment, it was two months of rehearsals for the project's dancers. "At home, I put YouTube videos on TV and I rehearse," says Gabrielly about her dedication to dance.

The boy Marcos Vinicius Aires, 12 years old, gave life to the Monkey Tião in the production of the play "The Rainbow Community". Staging in front of such a large audience did not frighten the boy, who attributed the reduction of shyness to the theater classes at Trilhando Caminhos. "It was a great joy to introduce myself to all these people," he celebrates.

The presentations were closely monitored by the executive vice president of Bauxita & amp; Hydro's Alumina, John Thuestad. “It is fantastic for me to be here today. It is an example of what we are doing at Hydro. It is our tradition to be close to communities, to work with people, to have a good interaction and to try to develop a good culture. I like to see the real involvement of the children. Sports, culture and education are part of our actions to be a good neighbor for these communities ", said the executive.

Trilhando Caminhos is an initiative of Alunorte, Hydro's alumina refinery, which contributes to the strengthening of Barcarena's social assistance network, by offering free sports and cultural activities for vulnerable children and adolescents community and public spaces in the municipality. Developed in partnership with the Social Assistance Secretariat of Barcarena (SEMAS) and executed by the Trilhar Institute, the project also includes Football Schools in the Murucupi, Burajuba, Águas Verdes, Vila Nova, Bom Futuro, Fazendinha, São Francisco and Cabana Clube communities.

For the month of July, Trilhando Caminhos will organize a beach soccer festival among the teams of the project's nuclei.
