The resumption of line 1 began in May after the electrical fault repair work, and involved about 120 own and contracted employees.
"The conclusion of the ramp-up on line 1 allows us to take our next step, which is the resumption of Albras' normal production capacity in all four lines," says João Batista Menezes, president from Albras.
Albras has a total production capacity of 460,000 tons per year and is a joint venture between Hydro and Nippon Amazon Aluminum Co. Ltd.
Albras completed the ramp-up of line 1 after the shutdown in early March this year, due to a fire in an electrical transformer.
