Hydro participated as an ABAL guest at ABM Week, a technical-scientific event promoted by the Brazilian Association of Metallurgy, Materials and Mining (ABM, in Portuguese) and the largest in Latin America in the sector. On June 9th, Hydro Extrusion's Product Development Coordinator, Paulo Gentile, participated in the panel “Aluminium and Sustainability as Market Drivers”, which addressed the strong relationship between metal and the topic. Participants brought sustainable solutions to the civil construction, packaging and transport markets.

“It was spectacular to participate in such an important event for the segment and talk about the advantages that aluminium provides for civil construction. We were able to present the products under development by the company, an amazing case of reducing the carbon footprint with the use of Hydro CIRCAL and other innovations. Sharing information with different audiences is rewarding and is in line with Hydro's commitment to leading the industry in creating a more sustainable future, creating more viable societies,” said Gentile.

The panel was moderated by Magda Reis, Consultant at ABAL (Brazilian Aluminum Association) and also had the participation of André Cardoso, Commercial Consultant at CBA (Brazilian Aluminum Company), Maíra Macedo, Project and Certification Manager at the Green Building Council Brasil and Lucínio Abrantes, Commercial Director of Luxalum.

Recently, Hydro was present at another ABM event, at the re-inauguration of the association's Casa de Metal. Hydro Extrusion donated two modern, high-performance products for the renovation of ABM's new cultural center in São Paulo.
