The selection process of the Jovem Talento at Hydro Paragominas 2022 starts this Monday, April 4th, with the offer of 70 vacancies for four different areas. Young people from 18 to 22 years old (completed by July 2022) and residents of Paragominas (PA) will be able to apply until 05/06 on the Hydro website. This year's program encourages people with disabilities to participate in the selection process and compete for open positions. Candidates must have completed high school; availability to take the course with a daily workload of six hours and cannot have been young apprentices at Hydro before.

During the application process, candidates must attach digital copies of their CV, proof of residency, proof of high school completion, identity document and work card. After the online application, candidates will receive a confirmation email, with guidelines for the next steps of the selection process. The selection is divided into six stages: online tests; psychological assessment; group dynamic; face-to-face interview and entrance exam. In the last step, candidates will also receive feedback on their participation in the program. Those approved in the selection process must start activities on July.

“With the Jovem Talento program, Hydro Paragominas has invested in the professional qualification of young people from neighboring communities and in this edition we are focusing especially on people with disabilities. The program combines mining practice with theoretical knowledge applied in Senai courses. At the end of the program, young people will be better able to face the challenges of the job market”, says Nelia Lapa, director of Human Resources and Communication at Hydro.

Young people who join Hydro Paragominas will have a work contract that can last up to two years and SENAI training with theoretical and technical training. During the contract period, young people will receive transportation vouchers, medical and dental care, life insurance, meal (full amount, depending on the place of work) and a grant of half a minimum wage.

The initiative seeks to collaborate with the qualification of young people from communities close to the company's units. An example is Gicélia Pinheiro who has been with Hydro Paragominas for more than fifteen years and it all started with an application to Jovem Talento. “When registration opened, I saw it as an opportunity to develop my professional and financial life. I recommend that young people embrace the process and proceed with all interest to complete the selection stages. Joining the company opens up a horizon of opportunities that gives you the basis to advance in your professional life”, says the Contract Management analyst who started out as an apprentice in the Maintenance area.
