dena (German Energy Agency) has awarded three private energy efficiency projects with the Energy Efficiency Award 2014. Aluminum norf & nbsp; was the winner and was awarded the first prize.

Aluminum Norf GmbH (Alunorf) received the award for the energetic optimization of the aluminum annealing process. (Alunorf recently received the Energy Award 2014 from the German Energy Academy.)

"I am very pleased that our Alunorf joint venture is seen as a guide in the area of energy efficiency in industry," said Oliver Bell, head of Rolled Products. "This is a good sign for our company and our customers and - last but not least - it is of course good for the climate."

Stephan Kohler, Managing Director of dena, explains: “The winners of the Energy Efficiency Awards 2014 & nbsp; show us the dynamics of our industry and their innovative strength when introducing energy-efficient production conditions. The award ceremony took place during the Energy Efficiency Congress of the German Energy Agency in Berlin on November 11th and 12th in Berlin & nbsp; instead.
