Born and raised in Grevenbroich, Kästner already knew the plant from his parents who worked there - and after studying engineering and doctorate at RWTH Aachen University worked most of the time at his home location. Christoph Budde started his career at the Grevenbroich plant in 1998 as a trainee. He most recently headed the production of aluminum strips for packaging and construction applications, before that he headed the technical department until 2013.
